Assignment information and template
This assignment will help you put the learning from this course into practice. Please read over it to understand what is required. However, we encourage you to wait until you have finished all of the other modules before completing the assignment, as the information contained in those modules will assist you.
The assignment must be submitted within 6 months of your enrollment date. Marking may take up to 21 business days after the assignment has been received.
Task
Identify at least three different tools or techniques presented in the course that support nutrition conversations, and consider how communication may need to be modified for different patient groups.
Try using these tools or techniques when speaking to at least two patients about whole food plant-based nutrition. Be sure to undertake a rapid assessment of the patient’s diet.
Once you have completed at least two nutrition conversations, respond to the questions below using the template provided. Feel free to speak with family members, friends or fellow students for question two IF you are not currently seeing patients.
Questions to report back on
1. List at least three different tools or techniques presented in the mini-course that support nutrition conversations.
2. How might communication need to be modified for different patient groups?
3. Share how the nutrition conversations went. Aim for 400-500 words for this question.

- Do not include patient identifiers in your response, however, you may include biometric measurements if relevant.
